Geographic Location
WHI has two locations:
Our corporate office is located at 921 N. Peak Street, and it is centrally located east of Downtown Dallas in the heart of a multicultural and multiracial community with excellent accessibility to public transportation. This location provides transitional housing for men only, various recovery support groups (for women and men outpatient), individual recovery coaching and support, money management, community outreach and referrals, job readiness, counseling, anger management, computer training and a prison re-entry program. In addition, we may have college students attending recovery support groups in order to complete their graduation requirements.
The Community Outreach Office is located in Oak Cliff at 4202 S. Lancaster Road in the southern sector of Dallas County. It provides Outreach, HOPWA Housing, Comprehensive Case Management, Congregate Meals, HIV/AIDS Prevention and Education and Substance Abuse Prevention and Education services to our target population. Our accessibility allows the agency the ablility to conveniently serve a growing number of under-served minority and hard to reach individuals, who are impacted by the epidemic.
